Medeama SC midfielder, Godfred Abban Junior has given a positive review about the club’s former coach, Ignatius Osei Fosu.
The young coach had his service dispensed with by Medeama Sporting Club with three matches played in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
Strings of poor performances saw the Mauve and Yellow collect a paltry two points from three opening games under Ignatius Osei much to the chagrin of the club’s top hierarchy.
Ignatius Osei’s exit looks like a dust not well settled as reports indicate that he has rejected a GHc30,000 compensation fee and is set to drag the club into a legal battle.
The outspoken tactician has however received a good remark from Medeama midfielder, Godfred Abban who tweeted a reply to coach Osei’s first reaction after his exit.
“All the best of luck in ur new endeavor coach.
“U will forever n ever be in my heart because no one believed in me buh u gave me enough chance to prove myself n i must thank u for that coach.
“Am really really happy to work with u n I know one day,,,,we will somewhere again meet.” Godred Abban tweeted.
Godfred Abban , 20 , joined Medeama from second tier side, Asokwa Deportivo of Kumasi and managed to catch the eyes of coach Osei Fosu.
Under Osei Fosu, the two time FA Cup winners were humiliated 4-0 by Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in their opening game of the season.
They were subsequently held to a 1-1 draw by Premier League entrants, Bibiani Gold Stars at the Akoon Park in week two before pulling a goalless draw at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman against Eleven Wonders in the third week.
Ignatius Osei Fosu has previously handled relegated Liberty Professionals, Techiman Eleven Wonders which he guided to survive relegation last season before joining Medeama.
