Bechem United look like a club that can compete for honours this season after posting a good start.
The Hunters made a good start to the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season with a banging victory over Medeama Sporting Club in the first week. The Hunters pummeled the Mauve and Yellow and two FA Cup winners 4-0 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park. Their second week game was what they will want to forget after they were pinned down by Asante Kotoko. Bechem United held their guns until the dying embers of the game to lose. Kotoko beat them by 2-0 to make it two wins in a row.
Bechem United returned home and returned home to deepen the woes of Elmina Sharks at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in the third week. The Hunters made light work of Elmina Sharks, besting them 2-0 to also maintain their hundred percent home record in the 2021/22 league season. The Hunters made a week four journey to the South against newly promoted side, Accra Lions which did not produce a good result. They were beaten 2-1 to increase their poor away record in the ongoing season.
Bechem United subsequently returned to their fortress at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in the fifth week against Dreams FC which they won. They came back from a goal down to defeat Dreams FC 3-1 to confirm a hundred percent home record. The victory gave them nine points from a possible 15 and currently eying a top four finish. Fine next journey will again be down South against Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium in the sixth week.
