Great Olympics quest to return to winning ways met a stiff opposition in Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The first half of the week six clash between the two sides produced a drab first half with the visitors however enjoying a better ball possession in the first session.

There were no clear goal scoring opportunities for the two clubs but Bechem United had the best chance to score on the 30th minute when Augusttine Okrah raced into Great Olympics’ goal area but the home side had it well covered leading to a barren first half.

Bechem United resumed the second half still the better side – stringing passes in Great Olympics goal area but still failed to find the back of the net.

Bechem United kept the pressure on the two time Ghana champions with nearly perfect ball possession deep into the 71st minute. They earned a corner kick out of the exchanges but the result was a goal kick for Great Olympics.

The visitors could have shot themselves into the lead on the 73rd minute but Augustine Okrah’s effort missed the post by a fraction wide – keeping the game still goalless.

Great Olympics struggled to contain their opponents who saw and controlled much of the ball outside their own half.

The game will come to an end without goals scored after five minutes of added time were exhausted.
