Head coach of Legon Cities FC, Maxwell Konadu has admitted that his attackers are not strong in front of goal.
The Royals have gone two home games without scoring – losing to Aduana Stars 1-0 in week five at the Accra Sports Stadium and being held to a goalless draw by former champions, Chelsea at the El-Wak Stadium in week seven.
Legon Cities have equally gone five matches without a single win – posting two defeats and three draws in the process. They have seven points in 12th.
Maxwell Konadu spoke after their goalless draw against Berekum Chelsea.
“I mean it’s not the best but it’s better than losing a game.
“Normally we were supposed to win this match at all costs but the goals didn’t come once again.
“We will keep practicing until we get it right,” Maxwell Konadu said.
“Normally we do a lot of in-front of goal actions, we do a lot. The whole week that’s what we were doing.
“But normally training is different from a match but we only hope that it will get better and better because for now we are not strong in front of goal.
“We have to manage the situation, I mean they are the guys we have, they are the guys we have registered, they are the guys we are going to use till the end of the first round.
“So we keep practicing until they get better.” Maxwell Konadu added.
They are away to Medeama in the eighth week at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Wednesday at 3:00pm.
