Legon Cities FC have a thorny journey to the Akoon Park against a rejuvenated Medeama Sporting Club in week eight of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
The Royals have gone two home games without scoring – losing to Aduana Stars 1-0 in week five at the Accra Sports Stadium and being held to a goalless draw by former champions, Chelsea at the El-Wak Stadium in week seven.

Legon Cities have equally gone five matches without a single win – posting two defeats and three draws in the process. They have seven points in 12th.
Medeama will pose a threat to Maxwell Konadu’s men having raked home seven points from their last three games.
They produced a 2-0 victory at home to Karela United in week five before holding King Faisal to a goalless draw at the Baba Yara Stadium in the sixth week.

A 1-0 home win against Real Tamale United completed an impressive work rate of new coach, Umar Abdul Rabi.
Notwithstanding Medeama’s impressive output in the last three games, Maxwell Konadu is not giving up on the chances of picking all three away points.

“Normally we are not going to sit back against any team for now.
“We will also play an open game and try to also win.
“Normally when you sit back, your guys get tired and concede a goal.
“So we go to Medeama and open up the game and try to also score.” Maxwell Konadu said.
