Aduana Stars head coach, Joseph Asare Bediako has blamed the lackadaisical attitude of his players to their loss against Asante Kotoko on Saturday
The “Ogya” Boys had not lost at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park to Asante Kotoko in over a decade but relinquished the record in week 11 of the 2021/22 season.
A 2-0 defeat to the Porcupine Warriors means Aduana Stars have suffered two home defeats this season – a 3-1 loss to King Faisal and 2-0 to Kotoko.

Asare Bediako could not hide his disappointment at his players’ poor display.
“I’m very sad today, very very sad because of this defeat.
“What can I say and what can I do?
“We prepared well for the game but unfortunately for us we lost.

“You see, we are supposed to play like Kotoko in the first half, we dominated the midfield.
“Nobody knows the reason why I substituted Kwakwa [Eric], it’s because of that.
“He was not tackling, at times if he loses possession he was walking and I don’t think people saw it.
“That’s the reason why I substituted him. So you see, they were all over as if we were not on the field, in the midfield. You know their midfield too they were doing very well.
“So in the first half they dominated and that exactly what they did and i couldn’t anything but to substitute him.

“So when I brought Boakye [Alexander], I think we were able to hold them.
“It wasn’t bad, we were supposed to have to got at least a goal but I don’t know.
“Something went wrong somewhere, I don’t know the reason why.” Joseph Asare Bediako said.
The two time league champions sit 3rd on the league table on 20 points, same as King Faisal who host Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday in week 11.
Kotoko leapfrog the two clubs into top spot with 23 points and a week seven outstanding game against Hearts of Oak to be played at a later date.
