Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed has refuted claims of the club being under pressure when playing at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The defending champions have won two games outside their venue – beating Accra Lions and Berekum Chelsea 2-0 respectively at the Cape Coast Stadium in week 8 and a week 5 outstanding fixture.
The Phobians however drew goalless against Legon Cities FC and Aduana Stars in the opener and in week three at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Fatawu Mohammed who extended his stay with the Phobians for two years told Africa-foot.com’s Adamu Muftawu that, they are not under any pressure playing in the capital.
“There is no pressure at all. We are not under pressure playing at the Accra Sports Stadium,” Fatawu Mohammed told Adamu Muftawu of Africa-foot.com.
“It’s the same field we have been playing on in all venues.
“So I can’t say there is pressure at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“There is no pressure at all but with football, you can’t play well every time.
“It didn’t go well today [against Bechem United] for all of us and not a single person. The entire team didn’t play well.
“So we survived with a draw so we shall shelve it and correct our mistakes at the training grounds ahead of our upcoming games.” Fatawu Mohammed added.
Hearts of Oak have 14 points from nine games, seated 9th with two games against Asante Kotoko and Medeama in hand.
Their next opponents are premier league new boys, Gold Stars at the Duns Park in Bibiani.
