Ghana winger, Christopher Antwi Adjej was on hand to help VFL Bochum come from a goal down to wallop giants, Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.
Antwi-Adjej, 28 , was just too quick for the Bayern defence when he canceled Robert Lewandowski’s 9th minute opener five minutes later. There were avalanche of goals after the Ghanaian’s equalizer with the home side scoring another three sharp goals all in the first half. Jurgen Locadia got his kick right when he netted Bochum’s second on the 38th minute from the penalty spot.
Cristian Gamboa tripled the score for Bochum two minutes after the second goal before Gerrit Holtman made it 4-1 with just a minute to end the first half at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion. With 15 points to end the entire action, Pole, Robert Lewandowski came to the party one more time but his effort was just not enough to rescue at least an away point.
He found a consolation in addition to his first goal on the 75th minute to peg the score at 4-2 – leaving the Bavarians on 52 points in top spot. Bochum are 11th on the Levi’s log with 28 points from 22 matches of the season.
