Aduana FC striker, Bright Adjei has proved his mettle and as one of the best in Ghana’s premier league.
The experienced attacker and one of the longest serving members of the “Ogya Boys”, has scored 12 goals in 19 appearances in the 2021/22 top flight season.
His clinical finish against King Faisal, where he took Prince Acquah’s long pass on his chest before lobbing past Frank Boateng, was just enough to claim all three points from the “Insha Boys” at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in week 19.
Adjei, 27, attributes the clubs recent rise to teamwork and cohesion.
“It’s not about magic but if you look at Aduana Stars so far, it’s a matter of teamwork.
“The first round things did not go as expected so we the players talked about improving in the second round.
“We needed to beat all clubs which came to beat us at home in the second round. “Because it’s our aim to win the league title so we are determined and hard work has brough victory to Aduana FC,” Bright Adjei told StarTimes.
On his perfectly taken goal against King Faisal, Adjei talks about the technique involved in beating Frank Boateng in post for the “Insha Allah” Boys.
“Before the pass came through, I had already read the goalkeeper’s position. “So when I took the ball on my chest, the goalkeeper was out of position which helped me lobbed the ball over him.” He added.
He won the Ghana premier league title with Aduana in his second season with the club currently in second position on the 2021/22 table with 33 points after 19 matches.
Aduana FC have won the their last three matches under new coach, Ben Zola who replaced Joseph Asare Bediako.
