Hearts of Oak midfielder, Sulley Muntari says they want to keep winning to climb up the league ladder.
Muntari, 37, has scored a goal in five league matches since joining the Phobians on a free until the end of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
He made his debut in a 1-0 loss to Great Olympics and he scored the winner and his first goal in week 19 against WAFA in Accra.
The former Inter, AC Milan and Portsmouth midfielder was key in Hearts of Oak’s 2-1 win over rivals Asante Kotoko in the 2022 President Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Muntari is already basking in the feelings of playing for the 2000 CAF Champions League winners.
“The feeling was there already, things that we do at training. “The guys are fantastic so for me it’s not strange that we won against Kotoko [in the President Cup].
“That game we played very good and today [against WAFA] we won, we got three points. “So it’s important.
“We want to win so that we climb the [league] table.” Sulley Muntari told StarTimes.
Sulley Muntari is out of the week 20 trip to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa against two time champions, Aduana FC on Sunday. Hearts sit 5th on the league table with 29 points after 19 matches.
