Chief Executive of New Edubiase United, Abdul Sallam Yakubu says he has lost sleep over the numerous interests pouring in for on loan midfielder, Salim Adams.
Adams, 19, was offered to defending league champions, Hearts of Oak on a season long loan from the second tier club until the end of the current term.
The lanky midfielder, who has a ferocious drive in his right foot, has become a mainstay in coach Samuel Boadu’s squad which lies 6th on the league log with 29 points from 20 games.
He bossed the midfield with finesse when the Phobians beat rivals, Asante Kotoko 2-1 to win the 2022 President’s Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Abdul Sallam Yakubu said: “I have lost sleep because of Salim [Adams], a lot of things are happening.
“Several clubs have contacted me, all of them asking about the midfielder.
“So we need to pray for the players and continue to support the team.” Abdul Sallam Yakubu told Edubiaseman fm.
Reports indicate that Hearts of Oak are bent on breaking the bank to sign the youngster on permanent basis after his loan spell but it remains to be seen if his mother club will yield to the overtures of the Phobians.
He has been linked to other clubs in Europe and will likely leave last season’s treble winners if a good deal is brokered.
