“Nigeria need this World Cup more than Ghana” is a line in the quote of Nigeria Football Federation Media Officer, Ayo Olu Ibidapo on Kumasi based Oyerepa fm.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be in Ghana on March 25 for the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers despite struggles for Ghana to find a venue due to FIFA’s rejection of the poor Cape Coast Stadium.
Interim Nigeria coach, Austine Eguavoen will present a 23 man squad for the first leg and Ibidapo says they are much ready for the battle.
“We have already started serious preparations for the game against Ghana. We will arrive in Ghana with a Chartered flight.
“Nigerians need this World Cup more than Ghana, that Golden team of Ghana is appreciated and respected though. There is no Asamoah Gyan in the Ghana squad.
“For now we Nigerians know that the match will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium so we are preparing for the game to be played there.” Ibidapo told Oyerepa fm.
Ghana are guests of Nigeria on March 29 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium Stadium in Abuja for the second leg.
