Head coach of Ghana, Otto Addo has charged football fans to support the national team in good and bad times.
The Baba Yara Stadium was filled to the rafters in Ghana’s goalless draw against Nigeria in the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars treated Ghanaians to good football in a long while however, fans were particularly unhappy about the score line. Otto Addo believes their support is needed in hard times.
“I love the Kumasi fans but one thing in general, when things go right they are there, this is good.
“But in general, everybody needs fans, support the most when things go wrong.
“So I think they can improve on that but I love to play here.
“They came in their numbers, they supported us and when we had chances, it was like wow, it was unbelievable.” Otto Addo said.
Ghana will fly out to Abuja for the second leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Tuesday, March 29.
