Deputy coach of Hearts of Oak, Hamza Obeng believes they club is still in the race to defend the double this season.
The Phobians who have 32 league points, trail rivals and league leaders, Asante Kotoko by 13 points after 21 games.
The 21 time champions, defied a 2-2 draw against Elmina Sharks at the Accra Sports Stadium to qualify for the quarter finals of the MTN FA Cup via an 8-7 penalty shootouts victory on Sunday.
Hamza Obeng is confident they still stand a chance to defend the double.
“We are aiming match after, we don’t want to talk much.
“We are into the quarter finals now , we are planning to get into the semi finals now when the time is up.
“We are also planning the league, it’s not over for us.
“Beside the FA Cup we are also in the league. “Anything can happen so we need to psyche the boys, looking at their play, it wasn’t bad at all although we were not able to display what we want but the win that we got, we are happy with the boys.” Hamza Obeng told StarTimes.
