“My boys were very poor against Asante Kotoko” – Karela United coach

Karela United warm up

Head coach of Karela United, Bismark Kobby Mensah has slammed his players for their poor performance against Asante Kotoko.

Karela United held Kotoko to a 1-1 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday in a week 22 clash. Kelvin Andoh headed home Karela United’s opener from an in-swinger on the 44th minute mark.

Ibrahim Imoro swept in a cross into Karela United’s goal area which Franck Mbella perfectly connected for the equalizer with added time in the first half.

Kobby Mensah was disappointed with his charges for their poor show.

“Seriously I’m very disappointed and for the first time I have to blame my players for the shambolic performance.

“You know, you can’t play like this and get results.

“You need to know what it is, at the time that you know you have numerical advantage, you can’t play like this.

“They did not show desire, they did not show hunger, nothing, you know the tactics will be there but it’s for the players to work to make it happen.

“I did not see that, I’m so disappointed with their performance and this is the second time this season, it’s so bad.” Bismark Kobby Mensah told StarTimes.

Karela United currently lie 9th with 30 points from 22 games of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
