Ghana international, Emmanuel Quartsin Gyasi rescued all three points for club, Spezia in week 31 of the 2021/22 Italian Serie A season.
Gyasi left it as late as the 90+4 minutes to score the only goal for Spezia’s 1-0 home win over Venezia at the Stadio Alberto Pico on Saturday.
He was subsequently shown a yellow card for an unsportsmanlike action a minute after scoring the opener and the only goal of the game.
The late strike sends Spezia 10 points clear off the relegation zone.
Gyasi, 28, has been in fine form for Spezia this season where he has notched 30 league games.
He has registered five goals this term with no assist to his credit. He equally has one Coppa Italia game under his belt.
He played a key role in Spezia’s qualification to the Serie A in the 2019/20 league season.
He gathered 37 games, scoring nine goals with three assists.
Gyasi debuted for the Ghana national team in a 1–1 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tie with South Africa on 25 March 2021.
