Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum has assured the club’s fans that midfielder, Fabio Gama will soon regain his form.
The diminutive Brazilian midfielder has been absent for the Porcupine Warriors in recent games due to injury but returned to the side in their 1-0 win over city rivals, King Faisal in week 23 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Fabio Gama was not at his best self on the day but Prosper Narteh remains confident of the player regaining his lost form in no time.
“I’m sure if we are to go by the textbook by six games, he should be ready.
“By six games he should be peaking but then I’m sure by the second, third game, we will see a better of him because he is lacking game fitness so his orientation on the field is slow and not that good.
“His vision, his awareness, his combination plays are not the best as typical of the [Fabio] Gama that we all know.
“So I will pardon him for that and I’m sure as I talk to him and give him the confidence and I give him more games to play, he will be the Gama we use to know last season.” Prosper Narteh Ogum told StarTimes.
Ibrahim Imoro’s 4th minute free kick was enough to sink King Faisal to extend Kotoko’s lead to 49, ten points better than second placed side, Aduana FC.
Kotoko have a tough test next weekend when they host arch rivals, Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in week 24.
