Head coach of West Africa Football Academy, Guillermo Zaragoza has been left shell shocked after their heavy loss to AshantiGold.
The Academy Boys were pummeled 6-0 by the Miners in week 24 at the Len Clay Stadium to further pinned them down the relegation zone.
Zaragoza said: “Very unexpected and you just cannot put it into words, very disappointing today,” Guillermo Zaragoza told StarTimes.
“I don’t know to be honest, we warmed up like we always warm up, like we do, we didn’t change anything.
“So it’s obviously a slow start and then from there you have to be mentally tough to climb back and I think after the second goal, our boys kept on going down and down.
“The third goal came, the fourth goal came, the fifth goal came, such a tough performance on the mind as well, mentally, it’s a blow mentally.” He added.
WAFA remain in 17th with 23 points after 24 games and will next host former champions, Berekum Chelsea at the Sogakope Park in week 25.
