Ghana utility player, Seidu Alidu was in fine form as a central defender despite Clermont Foot’s heavy loss to Paris Saint Germain in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.
PSG got their goals their first two goals in 25 minutes with Neymar and Mbappe both firing home from Messi’s assist.
Jodel Dossou pulled one back for Clermont with three minutes to end the first half.
Back from recess, Neymar and Mbappe grabbed a brace each to finish the classy 6-1 for PSG who go on 71 points, stretching their lead to 15 points above Rennes in second.
Seidu Alidu was a key member of Clermont’s squad that booked automatic qualification from the 2020/21 Ligue 2 after placing second with 72 points, five less than Troyes.
Alidu, who extended his contract with the side until 2025 can be deployed at midfield or right-back, with the latter being his main role in Clermont Foot’s run up to their qualification.
