Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum is gnashing over his side’s wastefulness against rivals, Hearts of Oak.
The Porcupine Warriors could have buried the Phobians in week 24 at the Baba Yara Stadium but the attackers fluffed opportunities, pegging the game at 1-0 for the record league holders after full time.
Prosper Narteh Ogum was pleased with the slim victory but admits his side were in a haste to score.
“Very satisfied because we played very well, we created a lot of chances, we kept the ball most of the time in the game.
“And we showed that indeed, we are on top of the league,” Prosper Narteh Ogum told StarTimes.
“We were in a haste to score, we created more chances, more obvious goal scoring opportunities.
“Chances that you just need to poke the ball into the net but they couldn’t.
“But in high profile games like these, sometimes players lose their awareness in front of goal and some of these things happen.
“But I’m happy that we dominated play and we created more goal scoring opportunities.” Prosper Narteh Ogum told StarTimes.
Cameroonian import, Franck Mbella scored the only goal from the spot after Fabio Gama was brought down by Aziz Nurudeen with 17 minutes played.
The goal is Franck Mbella’s 16th in his debut Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors now go on 52 points from 24 games and they keep inching closer to their first league title in eight seasons.
