Asante Kotoko central defender, Yussif Mubarik says the 2021/22 league title is still far from reach.
The 26-year-old was named MVP in Kotoko’s slim 1-0 win in week 24 over rivals, Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
The former AshantiGold defender wished they have won the remain ten games to claim their first title in eight seasons.
“Things are still not easy for us because we want to see a 20 points lead over the second placed club before we can have peace of mind.
“We wish we could win the remaining ten matches to add 30 points to the already accumulated points.” Yussif Mubarik told StarTimes.
Asante Kotoko got the only goal on the 17th minute from Cameroon striker, Franck Mbella who netted his 16th goal from the spot after Aziz Nurudeen brought down Fabio Gama.
Asante Kotoko have 52 points, eight better than Bechem United who are in second after 24 league games.
