Accra Lions Sporting Director, Ibrahim Tanko has described the horrible tackle that led to their numerical disadvantage against Hearts of Oak as a stupid act from his player.
Lions midfielder, Rashid Abubakar sent in a flying and a career threatening double feet tackle on Kwadwo Obeng Junior leading to his dismissal on the 37th minute.
Ibrahim Tanko admits the horrible tackle and the eventual red card to Rashid Abubakar changed the complexion of the game.
“It’s very unfortunate we started very well and after ten minutes our players just drew back which was not good.
“And also the red card that we received, it was very stupid from our players excuse me to say.
“So that’s what changed the game,” Ibrahim Tanko told StarTimes.
