AshantiGold have been impressive in their last five premier league games – picking 10 points in the process.
The Miners’ biggest win in their last five outing was a 6-0 thumping of West Africa Football Academy in week 24 at the Len Clay Stadium.
They again pulled a fast one on Great Olympics in week 26 – pipping them 1-0 courtesy Yaw Annor’s screaming strike at the Accra Sports Stadium to go 9th on the table with 35 points.
Head coach, Thomas Duah talks about how his charges executed the plans that earned them all three points from Accra.
“You need to psyche your squad about playing at the Accra Sports Stadium in order for them to bring out their best.
“We sometimes play better than this [against Great Olympics] but we don’t get the necessary results.
“Sometimes football is like that so I prepare their minds to understand such situations because you always don’t get what you want.
“Some season come go and others are not so good so we must understand.” Thomas Duah told StarTimes.
The four time Ghana champions will host 2010 winners, Berekum Chelsea at the Len Clay Stadium in week 27.
