Experience they say is the best teacher and Legon Cities FC striker, Hans Kwofie taught Kotoko defenders bitter football lessons on Sunday.
Kwofie, 32, grabbed a brace in the Royals 3-1 win against the Porcupine Warriors in week 26 of the 2021/22 Ghana league season.
Michel Otou had shot Maxwell Konadu’s men into the lead from the spot with just 17 minutes of action at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday before the veteran got the other two.
Kotoko substitute, Salifu Mudasiru’s header was not enough for Kotoko to restore some hope, ending in 3-1 after full time.
Hans Kwofie, who was adjudged the MVP of the game, tells how they discharged their plans.
“All I will say is, we played according to the coach’s tactics and it worked for us.
“And as a senior player in the team, the coach put me ahead to be encouraging them on the field of play and you see it helped us a lot.
“We should have scored more, one or three, four, you could see the chances that we squandered and I will say once we had three goals today, you could see my guys are swollen headed.
“It’s good we did it and at the beginning of the game we all came out like we have to score Kotoko since we came as Legon Cities.
“So today we had to make amends and glory be to God everything came through so we are thankful.” Hans Kwoffie told StarTimes.
Legon Cities FC now move into 8th position with 36 points from 26 games.
