Head coach of Legon Cities FC, Maxwell Konadu has urged his squad not to get carried away by their emphatic week 26 win over his former club, Asante Kotoko.
The Royals scored three times past the Porcupine Warriors who replied ones at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
The victory has left the few Royals fans and the playing body in a celebratory mood since Sunday but Maxwell Konadu has urged caution among the family.
“I will only advise my players that they shouldn’t be carried away.
“It’s just but one match, it’s just the name is the biggest one, Kumasi Asante Kotoko but at the end of it all, it’s still three points.
“We will not be carried, we will still concentrate and make sure that, we go home and pick some points.
“We need to climb up the ladder but it’s not easy, it hasn’t been easy but with hardwork I think we’re making headway.” Maxwell Konadu told StarTimes.
Legon Cities are now 9th on the table with 36 points from 26 matches into the 2021/22 league season.
They next host bottom club, Elmina Sharks in week 27 on Sunday, May 1 at the El Wak Sports Stadium.
