Cameroon striker, Franck Mbella says his main objective is to win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title with Asante Kotoko.
The 20-year-old has scored 18 goals in 23 league appearances this term – pushing the Porcupine Warriors into top spot with 55 points from 27 games.
Mbella’s only goal on the 64th minute saw Kotoko go past struggling West Africa Football Academy in week 27 at the Sogakope Park on Saturday.
“I’m very happy, it was the work of all the team, the technical team, teammates,” Franck Mbella told StarTimes.
“[season’s goal target] it’s my second objective. “First objective is [to] win the league for Kotoko, when goals come I score.” He added.
Franck Mbella’s goal takes him to 18 this season, breaking the perennial record set by ex-Asante Kotoko goal poacher, Eric Kwabena Bekoe.
The record Ghana Premier League holders sit top of the 2021/22 table with 55 points from 27 league games.
