Ghanaian sports apparel manufacturer, Mayniak Sportswear, has been contracted to kit the 28 Zongo communities that will partake in the 2022 Sheikh Usman Sharubutu Ramadan Cup.
The work of the indegenous kit producer cannot be underestimated with Ghana Premier League clubs, Great Olympics and Dreams on their kitting roaster.
Started in 2015, Mayniak Sportswear employs close to 20 people and the firm is bent on breaking continental barriers having briefly kitted the Somali national team.
Partners of the tournament, the Zongo Development Fund are sponsoring the acquisition of the jerseys and CEO, Dr. Arafat Sulemana Abdulai prides himself in awarding the contract to a home based firm.
“We look forward to progressing in terms of the support we are giving.
“Every single team that comes will be given a branded jersey of international quality manufactured by a Zongo company.
“So you can see, football is creating jobs for a Zongo company.” Dr. Abdulai told Africa-foot.com.
Mayniak Sportswear is producing the international standard kit at 50% cut off price – signaling their unflinching support for the exercise.
The Sheikh Osman Sharubutu Ramadan Cup comes up at the Fadama Astroturf on May 7 and 8 with defending champions, Kasoa set to face stiffer oppositions.
