Former Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatawu Dauda says Ghana coach, Otto Addo reserves the right to invite any player of his choice.
Dauda’s comments come following a question about whether Orlando Pirates striker, Kwame Peprah deserves a national team call up.
Dauda, who once featured for Orlando Pirates and Chippa United spoke to Gold SportTalk.
“Every player if only you are a Ghanaian and you are playing as Kwame Peprah is playing and those who are playing in Ghana, it the coach wants them to come and play, it’s the decision of the coach.
“Yes he [Kwame Peprah] is doing well but maybe he won’t fit the coach’s plans, that’s one thing you must know.
“I can recommend a goalkeeper that this goalkeeper is doing well, I wish Richard Kingson will invite him to the Black Stars.
“But maybe he [Richard Kingson] has a different plan.
“He [Kwame Peprah] deserves to play in the Black Stars yes he is a player, when he was playing in Ghana he was doing well.
“But it’s the decision of the coach whether he will fit into his plans.” Fatawu Dauda told Radio Gold SportTalk.
Kwame Peprah and goalkeeper, Richard Ofori were in Orlando Pirates squad that lost the CAF Confederation Cup finals against Morocco club, RS Berkane.
The game ended 1-1 at full time with the Moroccan club claiming their second trophy via a 5-4 penalty shootouts.
