Brakwa Senior High Technical School in the Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa District in the Central Region have held a ground breaking ceremony to welcome National U17 dynamic Midfielder Beline Nyarkoh
Beline who is a second year General Art student of the above named second cycle institution was scouted by the technical handlers of the Black Maidens from a division one outfit MFANTSEMAN ROYAL LADIES at Saltpond.She was part part of Black Maidens team during FIFA U17 women’s World Cup qualifiers until Morocco ended Ghana’s dream of making it to the Mundial in India this year under bizzare treatment in Rabat a fortnight ago.
Mrs Juliana Azasu,the headmistress of Brastec stated unequivocally that Beline’s inclusion in the National team has lifted the image of the school to a boundless level and also puts the school on high pedestal hence their decision to celebrate her in a grande style.She then decorated her with the national colours
The astute educationist extolled Beline’s core values of being discipline, hardworking and humble and hoped she climbs higher than Where she is now.Mrs Azasu pledged the school’s unwavering support to aid her make up lessons she missed whilst on National duty.
In her Guest speech,Ms Faustina Lariba Kwara, the Senior House Mistress of Mfantsiman Girls SHS who is the founder of Mfantseman Royal Ladies noted,but for discipline, dedication, humility and hardwork Beline wouldn’t have gotten this far.She entreated students to eschew indiscipline and other negative acts that would ruin their future.
Emmanuel Selassie Pentem,a technical team member of Black Maidens dispelled the notion held by section of Ghanaians that coaches take bribes before players are invited into the National team.He emphasized that call ups into the National teams are solely based on merit .
Beline in her appreciation speech hailed the impact of her coaches,teammates and her team manager in have had her Football career and singled out special praise for Black Maidens gaffer Mallam Nuhu Baba for offering her that rare opportunity to serve the country.
“First of all I thank Almighty God for His Guidance.Secondly,I thank my coaches and the team manager at Mfantseman Royal Ladies.I also thank my teammates for their support all these years.Special thanks to my National team coach Mallam Nuhu Baba who trust and gave me the opportunity to serve mother GHANA”she concluded.
Mrs Azasu on behalf of the school made a presentation to Beline for lifting the flag of the school High.
Beline in return pledged to donate footballs to the school as her widows contribution towards Training more talents for the Country.
