Kotoko legend, Daniel Nii Adjei says he knew his former club will be kicked out of the CAF Champions League.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered elimination against RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso after a two leg tie.
The record Ghana Premier League holders won 1-0 in Bénin before losing by the same score line at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium a week later.
The Burkina Faso side won 3-1 via the penalty shootouts and Nii Adjei says knew the result would happen.
“Me I knew it will happen because going away to win 1-0 and when you come home you don’t prepare well and you start to jubilate, the one coming is serious because he is already down.
“And then CAF [competitions] we don’t win by saying I’ve won away, no, you have to finish it.” Daniel Nii Adjei told Radio Gold Talk Sport.
Daniel Nii Adjei previously played for Asante Kotoko, TP Mazembe, King Faisal and now relegated Elmina Sharks.
