Ex-Ghana striker, Prince Tagoe says local players deserve a chance at the 2022 FIFA World in Qatar.
The Ghana Premier League resumes this weekend with players in domestic league standing a little to no chance of place in Otto Addo’s final World Cup squad.
Tagoe, who played for Ghana at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, believes the local players must be given a spot or two in the final squad for the global mundial.
“Our time when I was able to take the goal king, I was invited to the national team.
“It was just unfortunate that we could not qualify for the Nations Cup because at that time there were a lot of injuries even though we had qualified for the World Cup.
“The next World Cup I was able to prove myself when I joined the team.
“The local players I think they deserve, those doing well that everybody knows I mean it’s an exposure for them.” Prince Tagoe told Radio Talk Sport.
