The Black Stars of Ghana have been given a huge financial boost ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The good news comes following the Ghana Football Association’s partnership deal with telecom giants, MTN Ghana.
The mouthwatering deal is worth $2 million dollars and it is meant to cushion the Black Stars 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign.
Ghana is making a fourth World Cup appearance after a debut in 2006 in Germany and subsequent shows in South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014.
The Black Stars missed out of the 2018 edition in Russia but managed to weave their way to the 2022 edition in Qatar under the guidance of ex-Ghana international, Otto Addo and assistance from George Boateng, Mas Ud Dramani and Chris Hughton.
The Black Stars are paired in group H alongside old foes, Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea for the tournament that starts in the next 17 days.
