Black Stars deputy captain, Thomas Partey scored his third goal of the season in Arsenal’s comeback win at home to Bournemouth on Saturday.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder who enjoyed a full throttle, was playing his 21st game of the season for the Gunners but is yet to provide any assist.
Arsenal were hypnotized early in
the game when they went down just on the the first minute mark following an easy tap-in for Bournemouth’s Philip Billing.
The visitors held on to the slim lead moving into the break at the Emirates.
The second half of the game saw a new energy exerted by both sides but it was Bournemouth who went laughing one more time after Marcos Senesi doubled the lead with 52 minutes played.
The Gunners will not relent with manager Mikel Arteta pumping up his charges which resulted in Thomas Partey latching on to an easy ball to decrease the tally at 62 minutes.
The goal and Partey’s form will be a perfect tonic for Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton who needs his star going into the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Angola this month.
Substitute, Ben White’s strike was almost pushed out of the post by Bournemouth goalkeeper, Neto but referee Chris Kavangh adjudged it to have crossed the line for Arsenal’s equalizer at 70 minutes.
Reise Nelson’s final strike at added time will complete Arsenal’s perfect 3-2 comeback and will effectively maintain their five points lead over Manchester City atop of the log.
