Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen was left on cloud nine after his brace in Napoli’s 3-0 at home win over German outfit, Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old leapt above all Frankfurt defenders to head home Matteo Politano’ cross with two minutes of added time in the first half for the opener in Naples.
The Super Eagles tapped in Napoli’s doubled in the second half after well worked out combination between Matteo Politano and Di Lorenzo, putting the game beyond the visitors.
Piotr Zielinski was brought down in Frankfurt’s goal area with the Pole making no mistake in planting the ball behind German goalkeeper, Kevin Trapp for their third and qualify for their first ever quarter final.
Osimhen said: “It feels good, it feels amazing, it feels amazing to make history with this win, it’s a huge win.
“Congratulations to the whole team and a huge performance from the whole squad.
“We want to keep on going like this until the next round, we are ready for it.
“We are also doing well this season, we are the top club.” Victor Osimhen said after game.
The lanky striker has scored four goals in five European games but is on the 19th tally domestically this season. They await their next opponent in the quarter final after finishing the double fixture on 5-0 aggregate.
