Head coach of Ghana, Chris Hughton is aware of what numbers can do to a home team and he wants Ghanaians to attend the clash against Angola in joules to offer their unflinching support.
The Black Stars will host the Palancas Negras on Thursday, March 23 at the Baba Yara Stadium in the first fixture of their double header 2023 AFCON Qualifiers.
The Irish-Ghanaian and former Newcastle United manager met the press ahead of the game.
“I’ve been here to Kumasi three times and now in the last four days so I know the environment as well as I can.
“Of course I was involved when we came here for the Nigeria game and I know what difference it made to the team.
“It’s a very very passionate support, it’s a very very vocal support and any team that wants to do well wants a big crowd behind them and this I’m quite sure will happen.
“Whatever the numbers are, I know they have a vocal crowd.
“As a team, as players we have a responsibility to return this, the fans must enjoy what they and mostly we must put in hard work to get the results.” Chris Hughton told the press.
The Black Stars share four points from two games just as Angola after two games and the return leg is set for March 27 in Luanda.
