Former Asante Kotoko forward Alex Asamoah has revealed that he has not retired from football despite being out of action for a while.
In an interview with Angel TV, the former Ghana Premier League goal king reiterated desire to return to action in the coming days.
According to him, an injury he sustained some time ago has kept him out of play but believes he is back to full fitness and ready to feature for any club.
“I have not retired from football yet, very soon, I will return to the pitch. I have been out for a while due to some injuries but now, I am fit and ready to play” he said.
The 37-year-old still remain the most expensive signing in the Ghana Premier League following his move from Ashantigold to Asante Kotoko in 2008.
He featured for a host of clubs domestically before departing for greener pastures.
