Paris Saint-Germain are set to rekindle their interest in signing Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The French giants came close to signing the 30-year-old in January, but the move collapsed late into the transfer window.
However, PSG have continued to monitor and stay in touch with Ziyech this season and are preparing another bid to sign him at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
It is understood that the Ligue Un club need to balance their books this summer to stay within Financial Fair Play limitations, and therefore they are on the lookout for cheaper deals.
Ziyech is out of favour at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea are happy to let him leave if a club meets their £20-30million valuation.
The Blues themselves need to trim down their squad and settle their finances after a hefty winter of spending under new owner Todd Boehly.
The squad at Stamford Bridge is very large and Ziyech is among a handful of Chelsea stars that could be put up for sale to help clear space.
Ziyech has made just 19 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea this season, including just 569 minutes in the Premier League.
He is yet to score in 2022/23 and has only registered one assist in what has been a disappointing campaign for the Moroccan international.
He is into his third year at Stamford Bridge, but Ziyech has never truly nailed down a starting spot in West London, with 102 appearances and 14 goals to his name in Chelsea colours.
