Coach Chris Hughton has set his sights on a specific goal: to qualify Ghana for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
As a seasoned football manager with a wealth of experience, Hughton understands the importance of setting priorities and objectives for his team.
With the Afcon tournament quickly approaching, he is determined to guide his players through the qualifying rounds and secure their spot in the continent’s prestigious competition.
“This has to be the priority to get results in these games because ultimately it is about making sure we are in Afcon in January…qualify for Afcon in January,” Hughton told Supersport.
“This is the immediate after that it is building something what we have is we have good young players coming through and this will also give me the opportunity to look at more of the local players over a period of time,”
Ghana leads Afcon qualifiers Group E with 8 points after four games.
