Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly set to complete a mega million move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich at the end of the ongoing season in Europe after impressing at Napoli.
The Nigerian striker has been one of the best strikers so far this term in Europe scoring 21 league goals for Napoli in the Serie A and he is still topping the goalscoring chart this term.
Osimhen’s superb performances this season have made him become a target for Premier League clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
But the Nigerian is not expected to make a move to the English topflight with the latest development as Bayern Munich chiefs want him at the Allianz Arena.
Why Bayern want Osimhen
According to the report on Pulse, the Bavarians want another striker this summer who can replace Robert Lewandowski who has moved to Barcelona.
Considering Osimhen’s age, Bayern chiefs feel the Nigerian would be a long term project for them if they should sign him this summer.
Bayern are expected to pay about €130m to Napoli for the Super Eagles star’s services this summer.
Sports Brief spoke with former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba, who claimed that he would have loved Osimhen to remain at Napoli and become their legend like Diego Maradona.
