To claim ten points from your last five games for a relegation threatened club can be described as “impressive” and that is the case for Ghana Premier League entrants, Tamale City.
The new boys hammered record FA Cup holders, Hearts of Oak 4-1 in week 28 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Wednesday, April 27 to climb into 13th on the table with 35 points.
Head coach of Tamale City, Hamza Mohammed says they will not be complacent despite chalking ten points in their last five matches.
“We are not in a comfort zone, we know the dynamics when you win you go up, when you lose you slip down.
“We won’t be complacent but definitely it is a morale booster but we’ve taken a lot of positives from this game.
“The game plan worked perfectly for us, early goal, another goal for cushioning and we all saw what happened.”
Tamale City had their wins against Hearts of Oak, Beekum Chelsea and Nsoatreman with a 1-1 score line at Great Olympics and a 1-0 loss to Aduana Stars.
