Sheffield United goalkeeper Jordan Amissah is expected to make up the Black Meteors squad for the upcoming U23 AFCON to be staged in Morocco.
According to Sportsworldghana, the goalkeeper has been contacted by the technical handlers of the Olympic team led by Ibrahim Tanko.
The former Black Stars assistant coach is keen to parade a formidable side that can secure qualification to the Olympic Games and has therefore set sights on handing the English-born Ghanaian his debut call up.
Amissah, who is one loan at Burton Albion will return to parent club, Sheffield United at the end of the season. He has been impressive for the English One side.
Ghana has been paired in Group A against hosts Morocco, Congo Brazzaville and Guinea at the tournament scheduled for next month in the North African country.
The Black Meteors will hope to secure qualification to the Olympic Games next year having missed out since 2004.
