Samartex defender, Larry Sumaila Ibrahim says the club is threading cautiously in a bid to stay in the top flight.
The premier league new boys increased their chances of retaining their status after beating record FA Cup holders, Hearts of Oak 3-2 in match day 30 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena last weekend.
Sumaila, who previously played for Hearts of Oak before leaving to join Samartex spoke to Radio Gold Sports
“Definitely we are in a good position but just that we are taking match by match and our calculations very very well.
“So definitely we are going to stay and that’s our ambition.
“This is our first time coming so our ambition is to stay in the league and the next season we will work towards winning the league if possible.” Larry Sumaila Ibrahim told Radio Gold Sports.
Samartex look quite safe on 42 points seated in 8th with four matches to end the 2022/23 BetPawa Premier League.
