Head coach of Legon Cities fc, Maxwell Konadu has subtly confirmed the crisis that has reportedly ravaged the premier league club.
Reports last months indicated that, the club owed players, technical team and other staff backlog of salaries.
The reports further indicated that the playing body boycotted training sessions as a result of the delay in salaries and other bonuses of which the club subsequently denied.
Legon Cities players lost 1-0 at Bechem United in week 31 and Maxwell Konadu says the players attended training sessions just once in the entire week ahead of their game.
“We just couldn’t train the whole week.
“Our boys trained only once in the whole week for this game.
“So it reflected on the game, our fitness level is not where we are supposed to be.
“It’s up to them, that’s another thing to talk about.
“But if we had trained well in the whole week, we would have picked this points I believe that.” Maxwell Konadu told StarTimes.
The Royals currently sit 11th in the standings on 40 points with three games to draw the curtains on the 2022/23 league season.
