German Ambassador to Ghana, Daniel Krull has hailed Lothar Matthaus idea to invest in Ghana football.
Ex-Germany captain, Mathaus, Ghana winger, Frank Acheampong and renowned agent, Oliver Konig have bought stakes in Ghana Premier League club, Accra Lions in a bid to transform the side into a global football business.
His Excellency Daniel Krull made the comments during the unveiling of the partnership at the Kempiski Hotel in Accra.
“Your [Lothar Matthaus] decision to invest in Ghana comes at a very important and crucial time for Ghana.
“It’s a very good news and it goes far beyond football and I think it is a clear message Germany believes in the future of this country.
“And will continue our close cooperation in whatever is needed to education, occasional training and of course it is part of this.
“So I wish Accra Lions continued success and all the games I have watched, Accra Lions have been successful.” Daniel Krull said.
