Assistant coach of Ghana’s U-23 male team, Godwin Attram says the nation must strive to catch up with the pace of global football development.
Attram made the comment following the continental exploits of Senegal in the last one year.
The West African nation has won the Africa Cup of Nations, CAF U-17, CAF U-20, the 2023 CHAN tournament and the Beach Soccer Championship in a space of a year.
Attram said: “We have to do a lot of work, structures are the main key in our football and the way the people understand the game, administrative wise is totally different.
“A lot has changed, player evaluation and in this modern football, a player cannot be on the pitch without seeing his impact.
“Everybody must be able to play his role very well if he gets in the game.
“You don’t have to see any player who is sluggish on the field of play.
“Other countries are doing this and it is really helping them.” Godwin Attram told Radio Gold Sports.
