Ghana midfielder, Blessing Shine Agbomadzi has hailed the work ethics of experienced women football coach, Yusif Basigi.
Blessing joined and played under Basigi at Hasaacas Ladies upon deciding against returning to Israeli club, Hapoel Be’er Sheva due to the violence between Israel and Palestine.
Basigi who led the Women U-20 to clinch the maiden edition of the WAFU ZONE B tournament this month at the Baba Yara Stadium, guided Hasaacas Ladies to the final of the first CAF Women Champions League final in 2021 where they lost to Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.
Blessing, currently playing for Morrocan champions and CAF Champions League holders AS FAR, spoke to Radio Gold Sports.
“Coach Yusif [Basigi] is someone who understands his players when it comes to women.
“When it comes to women, a lot is put in and a lot is expected. We women can be something else if you don’t understand us.
“When it comes to women, coach Yusif understands women.
“He knows how to turn things around to get the best from us.
“He gets tough on us when he must and when he has to be lenient he does so we have that mentality, we have that passion for football.
“So it makes the work easy for both of us comparing how he treats us and how we are cooperating with him.
“So coach Yusif when it comes to women football he is good trust me, he knows how to handle women so that makes it easy to flow the way we want to.” Blessing Shine Agbomadzi told Radio Gold Talk Sport.
She cut her teeth with Kumasi Sports Academy before moving to join Sea Lions. He return from Israel saw her join Hasaacas Ladies before a move to Morocco.
She has played for Ghana U-17, U-20 and the senior female team, the Black Queens.
