Black Stars forward Joseph Paints has disclosed that his teammates are all ready to play their hearts out for Ghanaians in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar.
Chris Hughton’s charges are set to play the Bereas at the Mahamasina Municipal Stadium in Antananarivo, Madagascar on June 18th in round five of next year’s AFCON qualifiers.
Speaking at a press conference after their second training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, the Genk forward said every player is mentally ready and has put what has happened at their clubs behind them.
“With their mentality, they are really ready for it and we always talk about it, their full focus is on the game. The past is the past and they are always focused on the game.
“I think they are really ready to give their all for the fans and for Ghanaians.”
Chris Hughton’s side needs just a draw to book their slot in the tournament to be held in Ivory Coast.
The Black Stars lead Group E with 8 points with two wins and two draws in their four group games.
