Bechem United striker, Hafiz Konkoni says the goal king race was not part of his target last season.
The 23-year-old scored 15 times in the top flight last term – three behind winner, Abednego Tetteh of Gold Stars.
Konkoni, whose performance last season is attracting interest from several clubs domestically and abroad, says his focus was rather to help Bechem United win the league title.
“The goal king race was not my number one priority, my number one aim was to help Bechem United win the Ghana Premier League.
“The goal king was not part of my target so missing out on the top scorer’s award did not really bother me.” Hafiz Konkoni told Radio Gold Sports.
Bechem United placed 3rd last season with 54 points – one less than second placed Aduana Stars and 6 points behind winners, Medeama after 34 games.
