Former Elmina Sharks midfielder, Benjamin Bernard Boateng says the challenges in the Ghana Premier League helped him settle to life in Egypt.
The 22-year-old signed for Ittihad Alexandria from the then Ghana Premier League side, Elmina Sharks but was shipped on loan to the Smouha SC for the 2022/23 season where he gathered 27 games, scoring seven times in the process.
The lanky attacking midfielder has a contract with Ittihad Alexandria until 2024 and he hopes to replicate the form at his current club.
“The Ghana Premier League has helped me really well because I wanted to take good care of my family.
“I was not earning much in Ghana so I wanted to travel abroad to play and so the challenges in the Ghana Premier League has helped me a lot.
“The determination and hard work in Ghana really helped me settle in Egypt.” Benjamin Bernard Boateng told Radio Gold Sports.
