Real Tamale United want to rely on their opening BetPawa Premier League game against Hearts of Oak to raise some good amount of money to support the club.
RTU will open their campaign against the Phobians at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on September 15.
Director of the club, Mohammed Barko Alhassan tells Radio Gold Sports about how they intend to leverage on their season opener to raise money.
“We are looking to see if Hearts of Oak coming down, we can use it to generate some money to support the club going into the rest of the season.
“We will use the media around us, both the traditional media and our social media just to hype and promote the Hearts of Oak match.
“We are going to explore avenues to promote the match so that we can generate some money.
“Because as for Hearts of Oak whether you like it or not they are crowd pullers. That one from generation since 1974.
“There has never been any that Hearts of Oak comes to Tamale and attendance is poor.
“Hearts of Oak have always dominated in terms of pulling support and we are going to take advantage of that.” Mohammed Barko Alhassan told Radio Gold Sports.
RTU escaped finished 11th on the league table with 46 points after 34 games.
